[Tonight, Goliath is coming out of the stables. And in front of him is...something barking. Do not fear, Keepites. It's not one of the rabid zombie dogs. It's actually Bronx, a gargoyle beast that belongs to his clan. Imagine his surprise to see him in one of the pens. Goliath couldn't very well allow him to stay in that pen. His wings are caped as he walks behind his clanmate with his journal tucked under his arm. After a moment of watching Bronx acquaint himself with the Keep grounds, he opens it up for a post.]
So the Lord of this castle has finally begun to bring me my clan. [Bronx barks and Goliath smiles.]
Are there any others?

[People familiar with Keep structure may have taken notice of the new stone statue perched at the fore of the Great Keep's roof. It's the most curious statue, as it's almost never seen in the same position twice.
But it's just a statue...right?
Why not step outside when the sun goes down, if you please, and find out.]

[Goliath wakes with a roar, a little early than last night, but he's STILL adjusting to the time here. The stone slides from his skin and rains across the Keep grounds below. Soon after, you may see the Gargoyle gliding across the sky toward the kitchens for food.
Dinner/breakfast is eaten quietly and flips through the journal. After a moment, he plucks up his quill to write:]
What is this holiday?

[It only took a few days for Goliath to figure out how to work the journal. And since reading back through older entries, he's managed to figure out that the best way to get in touch with someone in charge was through these enchanted books. So he wrote to them and maybe he would get an answer.]
Why was the rest of my clan not worthy of saving? If you could not take us all, then why did you choose me?
[Was it because he was leader? That's a dumb reason you know.]

[All's quiet tonight in the Keep, since it's an absurd hour and most of the guests are probably asleep. But suddenly the peace and quiet of the night is shattered by a roar from outside the barracks. Though if you're listening, it probably sounds much more like a sob.
But who cares? What's making up that racket? Why don't you investigate?]
OOC: Forward dated to the night of the archery log.
